This beautiful iris shell, also called abalone because of its shape, is another find we found on our coast. The flat, open shell of the abalone has a particularly beautiful, mother-of-pearl iridescent inside, which is why it is also called an iris shell. Beautiful to look at as an original, it is still not wearable due to its fragility. Moulded in sand, we were able to capture these beautiful shapes and structures in a unique image of nature as a piece of jewellery.
